….They are on the roof as you can see and I have no idea what they have been used for, or maybe are still used for.

Those round things look to me like some kind of air conditioning system. They are quite old though if that is what they are.

It looks to me these are really old cooling towers for the air conditioning system.
it’s the old cooloing tower for factory machine and not for air conditioning.
