Bus versus Tricycle in Shanghai
what I like about Shanghai is that all forms of transport are still on the road. From tricycles to the latest Porsche, from pushcarts to trolley buses. There is a difference in speed of course. Who will win this race?

Most of the time I prefer sitting in the back, listen to my mp3 player and occasionally keep an eye out on the route the driver is taking. Sitting in the front seat is more of a roller coaster sightseeing tour in one and every now and then quite fun.

Taxis are almost like public transport here in Shanghai. They’re cheap, most of the time available, have air conditioning and the drivers are in general good and trustable. Late in the evening they are the one hat almost solely occupy the road.
I have recently been sitting a lot in the front passenger seat of the taxis. The view on the street is very different from when you’re sitting in the back seat.
In the front seat it seems I participate more with what’s going on instead of listening to my mp3 player.
